The kitchen is the room that nurtures our souls and our bodies. It's the hearth of the 21st-century house, and everybody naturally congregates there. |

Culinary Communion is Moving!
August, 2007We are thrilled to announce that after over five years of operation as a "home occupation," or residence-based
business, Culinary Communion is moving to its first commercial space at the end of September. Click here
to learn more about CC House at Beacon Hill, our new location!
If you are registered for a class during our transition time, don't worry; we will direct you to the proper location! We are
working hard to finish the space at Beacon Hill and anticipate moving at the very end of September; when work is closer to being
complete, we'll have a more exact date. But in the meantime, we'll let you know where to go for your class.
Meanwhile, here's the info about CC House in West Seattle, our current location.
Welcome to the West Seattle CC House!
At Culinary Communion you are not coming to a sterile industrial space, you are coming into our
home. CC House is the home of Culinary Communion's owners, Chef-Instructor
Gabriel Claycamp and Director of Communications Heidi Kenyon. We really live here, we eat
around these tables every night and are proud of welcome you into our home!
CC House
CC House, located in West Seattle, is the hub of our class offerings. We teach classes out
of our home because we want students to feel comfortable and relaxed. We realize that you're not
cooking
out of a restaurant kitchen; you're cooking at home. We want your culinary instruction to be in
a home atmosphere, too.
Come on into our bright, sunny house (with its view of Puget Sound and the Olympics) and
make yourself at home. Our kitchen is designed so that ten students can easily
work within it. The skylight and greenhouse window let a lot
of light into the kitchen. We're stocked with tons of pans and knives and plenty of butcher block
counter space for everyone to work. You and your
classmates will work side by side on whatever the evening's menu might require. For our Techniques
and Essentials series, those menus will reflect the important concepts you will be learning
that evening. If this is your first class at CC House, we'll show you where everything is, what
you can compost and recycle, and where the wine glasses reside; we hope you'll quickly become
comfortable in our kitchen.
If you're here for a wine class, you can likewise make yourself at home. We call it
the Living
Room Wine Series of classes because we want classes to be casual, comfortable, and fun. Grab
a seat on couch or armchair after you've picked up your curriculum and name tag. We'll be
bringing out food and wine shortly! After Gabriel or Katie gets the class started, please do not
remain
quietwe want to hear from you! Interrupt, ask questions, tell everyone what you smell or
taste in the wine, share your experiences. Classes are seminar-style, with feedback and
interpretation from everyone adding to the overall experience.
This is Culinary Communion for you: casual, intimate, fun, warm, and welcoming. We hope to see you here
very soon!
